The M-Series machine was designed to meet the rigorous engineering requirements demanded in today's die shop. Its uncompromising level of function, accuracy and quality is consistent with industry standards.

The S-Series machine provides an intelligent alternative for the cost minded die fabricator. Paired with the C15B Basic control system, this unit gives new meaning to affordable automation with reliability.

Depending on your needs, there is a control system and a machine to satisfy them. Whether it be a need for high precision with full functions M-Series+C21 high precision with the more commonly utilized functions M-Series+C15A less emphasis on micro precision but need for complex functions S-Series+C15A or basic movement S-Series+C15B, MOLDMASTER can provide you the practical solution to your diverse CNC EDM requirements.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION //

MECHA
From a mechanical standpoint, this involves building a highly rigid machine body. Starting with the solid framework of the base, cast with meehanite to lend exemplary thermal stability and high rigidity, to the column, designed to hold heavy electrodes extremely steady, to the head, which can withstand large lateral loads, lending excellent lateral machining quality; each component of the body must add to the structural stiffness of the machine. In addition to the above, with a zero overhanging error, regardless of guide progression, the design of the table assures motion accuracy and correct machining of heavy workpieces.

DRIVE
Fast response and high precision define the drive system. Use of linear motion guides, large diameter ball screws, optical linear scales, and direct drive transmission account for accurate straight line movement. The tolerance deviations are as follows:

Furthermore, before shipment each machine must undergo laser calibration ±3μm for fine adjustments and confirmation of correct linear motion.

POWER
With an advanced digital switching power supply, performance, electrical current stability, and generator longevity is enhanced. These strengths contribute to a very low electrode wear ratio of 0.05%min and cleaner machining in corners, ribs, sharp edges, and angles. Moreover, unwanted abrasions and pitting are eliminated during roughing. With digital noise reduction, efficiency in roughing and medium finishing is increased by more than ten percent. The overall result finishing times are reduced by half.

A'modern Fuzzy-Logical intelligent control system' provides the auto-adjustments of machining parameters and improves the machining efficiency and safety. More easy to use, a tenderfoot can operate like an expert.

CONTROL
Practicality, common sense, and user friendliness punctuate the NC system. Whereas conventional programming may require lengthy training periods before proficiency is gained, the Easy Programming Input of the M-series allows for quick learning and significantly reduced training time. Automatic measurements of edge, groove/center, plate/column, and discharge positions further facilitate the preparatory process. Other notable features include Memory Run, for unattended operation, and Diagnosis, for chronological record of alarm and current I/O status. As a result, troubleshooting and maintenance is simplified.


PROCESS
The innovative technology of the M-series strengthens the machining process. Simultaneous three axis retraction for enhanced debris flushing and three dimensional spiral and conical orbital cutting contributes to significantly improved speed and precision. An extensive optimal machining parameter database for a variety of electrode and workpiece material pairings facilitates implementation of a proper machining sequence from roughing to finishing to make EDM work easy. Another innovative feature is Adaptive Control for automatic regulation of secondary parameters. This is especially beneficial for increasing machining speed, decreasing electrode wear, and preventing costly workpiece abrasions. The System 3R C axis and ATC is also optionally available.
